Outline
The Advanced Photonics Technology Development Group develops and integrates core technologies that support frontier research in photonics and quantum science while fostering new research fields. Bringing together expertise in advanced lasers and light sources, optical materials and devices, neutron-based technologies, and research infrastructure, the Group creates new technological foundations for photonics and quantum science. Its activities include advanced instrumentation, precision measurement and processing, and material characterization, with applications in quantum technologies, advanced materials, energy and environmental solutions, space utilization, and industrial infrastructure. Through the development of scientific instruments and research platforms, and collaboration with industry, the Group promotes the social implementation of emerging technologies and contributes to new value creation through photonics and quantum science.
