Outline
Building on RIKEN’s prior efforts in advancing non-destructive inspection techniques for large-scale structures (e.g., infrastructure) using neutron beams, this program will promote research utilizing neutrons across a wide range of fields, including materials science (semiconductors, energy storage materials and structures), biology and medicine, space science, novel material creation, and fundamental physics. Furthermore, in addition to developing neutron sources and detectors that support these studies, we will also pursue the creation of new experimental methodologies and data analysis techniques.
Fields
Physics, Engineering, Space Science, Multidisciplinary
Keywords
Neutron beam, Applied science, Fundamental science, Material science, Radiation hardness
