要旨
Excitons are the primary optical excitations in semiconductors and insulators. They are critical in understanding the optical response of a variety of materials and devices. In 2D materials, due to the strong Coulomb interaction, excitons dominate the optical properties even at room temperature. Since their discover in the 1930s, experimental studies on excitons have largely used optical methods, and thus been unable to access their momentum coordinates and related information. Recently, it became possible to measure the momentum coordinate distribution of the internal electron and hole that constitute the exciton, thus revealing rich physics about the exciton and their close cousins [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
In this talk, I will present the latest results in my lab in studying the momentum coordinate of excitons and other related particles.
