The RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics (RAP) is helping to realize the dream of making the invisible visible by pushing the possibilities of light to the limit. Attosecond lasers will make it possible to see the motion of electrons, metamaterials are allowing us to manipulate the spectrum and terahertz light will open up new undreamt of technologies.
